Hitting on a new safety measure
Representatives of area police departments and other public officials got a clear look this week at a product aimed at making glass in squad cars and other security uses safer. ACE/Security Laminates™ conducted demonstrations Wednesday at the Tri-City Police Academy in Plano. Company officials displayed sheets of the clear film, and officers watched demonstrations designed to show that the products are tough enough to stop a baseball bat— or a bullet. Company officials say the product can be used as a security and anti-theft measure. The company is seeking a contract to provide materials for the police and courts building to be built in Garland.
